Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

NutriAI ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Kashish Kumari Pandey, a sole proprietor based in India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, and profile image via Clerk authentication.
• Health & goals: age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and dietary preferences you provide during onboarding.
• Meal data: photos you upload for analysis and the resulting nutrition breakdown.
• Usage data: basic logs required to keep the service secure and functional.
• Abuse-prevention signals: a one-way hash of your IP address, a browser device fingerprint (canvas + user-agent + screen), and your approximate country (from request headers). We do not store your raw IP.
• Payment metadata: when you subscribe, Razorpay returns a payment ID, order ID, plan ID and status. We store this plus the billing period. We never see or store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN.

3. How we use your information

• To analyze meals and generate personalized nutrition insights.
• To calculate daily targets and track your progress.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To improve reliability, performance, and safety of the service.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers that help us run NutriAI (authentication, hosting, and AI inference) under contractual confidentiality obligations.

5. Data security

Your data is protected with database row-level security so only you (and administrators, when strictly required) can access your records. Uploaded meal images are stored in a private bucket and served via short-lived signed URLs. All traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are never stored by NutriAI — authentication is handled by Clerk.

Anti-abuse controls: to keep the free plan available and prevent server abuse we (a) block disposable / temporary email providers at sign-up, (b) limit the number of free accounts that can be created from the same device or IP network to two, and (c) rate-limit each feature per account. Accounts that appear to bypass these controls may be blocked.

6. Retention & deletion

You can delete individual meals from the history screen at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact support from the email tied to your account.

7. Payments & processing fees

Subscriptions are processed by Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. Razorpay charges a payment-processing fee on each successful transaction which is added on top of the plan price and shown to you before you confirm payment:

• India (UPI / debit / credit / net-banking): 2% of the plan price.
• International cards: 3% of the plan price. Your card issuer may add its own foreign-transaction fee.

International customers see prices in USD and are charged the INR equivalent at a fixed rate of ₹87 per $1. The full breakdown — plan price, processing fee, and total — is displayed on the checkout screen so there are no hidden charges.

8. Children

NutriAI is not intended for children under 13. Please do not use the service if you are under this age.

9. Medical disclaimer

NutriAI provides general nutrition information for educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
